Betty Jean Lochthowe, 20, rural Minot, died Sunday night in a car accident that also took the lives of her two young children and injured her husband.

She was born June 27, 1945, at Valley City, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin O. Berg. In 1951, she came with her parents to Minot. She attended Minot High School, and had been employed at Sears Roebuck & Company and F.W. Woolworth Company in Minot. On September 10, 1962, she married Leon LeRoy Lochthowe at Minot.

Surviving are her husband; her parents, of Minot; two sisters, Mrs. Duane (Barbara) Aus, Minot, and Mrs. Raymond (Bonnie) Cswerko, Collinsville, Connecticut; and her maternal grandmother, Mrs. John Stensrud of Minot.

The triple funeral services were held Friday at 10:00 a.m. in Bethany Lutheran Church. Rev. Marvin D. Odland officiating.

Pallbearers for Betty were James Grinolds, Larry Zabek, Donald Linnertz, Terry O'Shea, Eric Jacobson and Pat Schan.
