Caesara Sperry Frothingham, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Langdon Frothingham of New Canaan, Conn., was married there yesterday to Sigurd Robert Wendin Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Wendin of Grosse Pointe, Mich. The Rev. Alfred Whisler performed the ceremony in St. Mark's Episcopal Church.
The bride, a manager in the advertising promotion department of Newsweek Inc. in New York, was graduated from Miss Porter's School and Wheaton College. Her father is a sales representative with the Texaco Chemical Company in Harrison, N.Y She is granddaughter of Mrs. Henry Goldthwaite Seibels of Mountain Brook, Ala., and the late Mr. Seibels, and of the late Newton Sperry Frothingham of Boston, and the late Mrs. Charles Sinkler of Philadelphia. Her great-grandfather, Dr. Howard Atwood Kelly, was a co-founder of the Johns Hopkins Medical School.
Mr. Wendin is a graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy and Yale University and a lieutenant commander in the Naval Reserve. He is a vice president and a director of Davenport & Company of Virginia Inc., a securities brokerage firm. His father is retired chairman of Heber-Fuger-Wendin, an investment consulting firm in Detroit.
