Notes for Simeon Sperry
Simeon was a member of the Conregational Society of Woodbridge and is included in the Woodbridge Census (3-1-5). He was said to have been “age 62” at the time of his death, but this does not correspond with New Haven Vital Records.

In 1781 Simeon signed a writ of manumission regarding Alexander: "In 1781, Darling and his son Thomas stood as witnesses when neighbor Simeon Sperry agreed to sell his slave Alexander his freedom for £5O, payable within three years, Agreement, Simeon Sperry to Alexander, Darling Family Papers.
