Edward Thomas Barrier, age 78 of Graham, Texas, died Monday, December 11, 2017 in Wichita Falls. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at the Young County Cowboy Church in Graham, with Frankie Bailey, officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.
Edward was born on May 24, 1939 in Washington, D.C. to the late Blair Sampsel and Helen Davis Sampsel. He married Linda Kay Burden on June 6, 1987 in Irving, Texas. He was a greeter for Wal-Mart and a member of the Young County Cowboy Church. He moved to Graham in 2014 from Olney.
Edward is survived by his wife, Linda Barrier of Graham, Texas; one daughter, Leslie Butts and her husband John of Graham, Texas; one sister, Gidget Parkes of Redding, Pennsylvania; two brothers, Pete Sampsel of Jamestown, Tennessee and Butch Sanford of Park Range, Tennessee; as well as seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
