Leonard E "Happy" Pickett Jr, age 57, of lake Delton, died on Wednesday, Aug 11, 2004, at St Clare Hospital in Baraboo. He was born on Aug 24, 1946, in Petoskey, MI, the son of Leonard E and Lois (Bell) Pickett.

Leonard proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He received a Purple Heart prior to his honorable discharge.

On Feb 20, 1973, Leonard was united in marriage to Margaret A Klaetsch. This marriage was blessed with four children.

Leonard owned and operated Pickett Paving and Seal Coating. He was a member of the Baraboo Masonic Lodge #34 F & AM and Scottish Rite. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing poker and pool.

His parents preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret of Lake Delton; his sons, Leonard III (Jennifer), Robert (Kimberly), Andy, all of Lake Delton, and Travis (Crystal) of Collinsville, IL; eight grandchildren; his sister, Lucy (Claud) Bryer of Aransas Pass, TX; several nieces and nephews; along with other relatives and friends.

Burial will be in Butterfield Cemetery in Excelsior Township.
